I can’t seem to pin down the hiding spot. I have spent way too many hours entering wrong answers. I KNOW I found the right part of my map on topozone and there really are only about 2-3 places it could be, but none of them–or my other shots in the dark—are the right answer.
I am putting this one to bed for good. I’m sorry. I’m not a good deputy!

And I don’t think apologies are really necessary. You did get all the bad guys after all. 😉
07/22/2007 at 11:28 pm #1877230I cannot believe how many times I entered a different version of that name! I still can’t find the one on my map that was right, but I know I had the right part of the map. Well, now I can sleep. Or at least I can say *this* won’t keep me up at nights.
Let’s not discuss the four whiffs on caches we’ve had the last couple weeks, though. It sucks to be the only one to whiff on a 1.5 hide! LOL

I’ve done that more times than I care to remember.
Glad I could help you get some rest!
07/22/2007 at 11:35 pm #1877232Go figure. My map from topozone didn’t seem to have as much detail as far as names as the little hint just pm’d me. So now I can sleep tonight, thank you, LightningBugsMum!
07/23/2007 at 5:20 am #1877233You maybe were not zoomed in far enough for the feature to show up
07/23/2007 at 12:16 pm #1877234I guess I needed one of the buttons on the top to be different. It’s weird, I was working with the same map, and actually had changed my map size to make it zero in even more, but I guess I was supposed to be zooming in a different way to get more detail.
You learn something new every day!
08/04/2007 at 3:55 am #1877235I never decoded all of the code around the map and I only decoded two of the glyphs before I just decided to search Topozone for a spot that matched. I had a fairly good idea of where to focus my search because of a few pronounced man made features on the map. I found the location and re-sized it within 30 minutes. I was expecting something a little trickier but I was also glad that I was done.
