As previously announced, the fall WGA picnic will be at Wildcat Mountain on September 15th, 2007.
Some may wish to camp, either Friday night or Saturday night, or perhaps both. There are about 16 campsites still open, at this point, and they can be reserved online or by phone, (888) 947-2757.
I reserved a campsite for Friday night, and will have a campfire after 8pm at my campsite. (Site 15). All are welcome to extend their trip to Wildcat by coming early and camping Friday night and enjoying the fire, a few beverages and tales from the trail.

07/30/2007 at 8:05 am #1877476Well Friday we are planning on heading a little further north to Menomonie, to see the Little River Band play. On the way up we plan on knocking off some of the delorme pages. Spend the night there and then head south for the picnic, knocking off more pages and then head home after the picnic. But we will listen to the tails from the trails when we arrive, if you save us some beer. 😀

Hi Dave,
Great to hear that I will have good neighbors camping this time! K0rpl’s mother got a little rowdy at MWGB, and one of the Honeybunnies snores a lot so I didnt get much sleep on the last camping adventure. (On the other hand the Bandits and Da Bloodhound are excellent camping partners, DB loaned me a cooler, and the Bandits gave me cold beer before I had any.)
I will be bringing along some Leinie’s Red and Honeyveiss. Do you have other preferences as my nearest neighbor so that I can bring along the brew that you find most satisfying while swapping tales from the trail?

Leinie’s is always good. I’ve gotten to like their new Sunset Wheat.

08/05/2007 at 3:43 am #1877484Doc. will be there Friday and Saturday night for camping, beer, tales of the trail and a helluva lot of laughter! I’ve about burned myself out working 24/7 and am in dire need of a break. Think I will try to rustle up Red_Devil35 for some laughter, hiking and some insane fun! DB is pretty crippled up right now and I really need a break!
I am so lame and can’t look up to see who is logged on on this computer! The color of blonde in my world is not techy geo-green! Anywho, Doc. and friend are taking up space # 13. Just follow the sound of the party!
