Groundspeak has added a new undocumented feature for owners of multi and mystery caches. If you download a gpx of your own cache, the hidden waypoints are now included in the file. I don’t know how many people ever download gpx files of their own caches, but at least one person does, who was a little surprised to see the answer to his puzzle in his download file. Please rest assured that this only happens if you are the owner of the cache. Other people downloading the gpx will NOT receive the hidden coordinates.
08/16/2007 at 12:36 pm #1878051I keep a GSAK file of my own caches, as an easy reference when someone asks for help. This should be interesting ………..

I would be that one person, and yes, when I downloaded the GPX file for Signs I panicked!
All is well though. When you contacted me and explained it all, I was relieved.
08/16/2007 at 2:46 pm #1878053OK, Deejay, I downloaded a PQ of my caches. Nothing special showing. Do I need to request spomething in particular?
Or was Tyedey…. just lucky?
08/16/2007 at 7:16 pm #1878054Not sure if it makes a difference, but I use EasyGPS to download the GPX, not GSAK.
08/16/2007 at 10:09 pm #1878055Ummm, I used Easy GPS and got nothing also.
I want to know how you even make something like that page??? 😯
08/17/2007 at 9:25 pm #1878056You can’t use a PQ. It only works when you download the individual GPX files. (I didn’t say it was useful, just trying to keep my mailbox from overflowing!)
08/20/2007 at 1:15 am #1878057It’s actually done this for a long time. It would be nice if they’d document some of these “easter eggs” somewhere…
