Had the pleasure of visiting GC10P01 yesterday, and I want to share with everyone that this is an awesome cache. The cache is Grab My Stick by Seldom Seen, and is a very interesting puzzle/multi cache that is a must do if you visit the Appleton area.

Before you tackle this one, you will need to track down a special travel bug, the Seldom Seeker, which is basically a highly crafted walking stick with some special things added to it that makes it possible to find the cache.

Sorry, I dont have the TB number to post here, but maybe one of the people who do have it could post it here so others can get to the starting TB in order to tackle this one.

Anyway, this is another very cool/unique Seldom Seen cache, and I really enjoyed it.

Here is the link to the TB page for the “Seldom Seeker.”

This was a fun Cache as I brought in the reserves to help me find it.

A little history on the Seeker. While scouting out a park for a CITO event this spring I found this Hiking stick just lying on the ground as a raw blank. I picked it up as I usually do when I am out in a wooded area. Around the same time I decided to place a new cache (Seldoms Insanity GC11HJ2) In an effort to draw a bit of attention to this cache I had decided to give away a hiking stick to the first finder. That is how Seldom Seen enters the picture. (Congrats) As I was debarking this Hiker the true beauty of this thing came through. The only thing I could do to improve it was give it a good sanding and a coat of finish. Anything else I thought would detract from it.

Well after I awarded S|S with his “Prize” a new cache showed up. I saw there was a new TB drop at a nearby Bug hotel. So I quickly made the grab to see the customization to the Seeker. Wow I couldn’t wait to go after this one and use the Hiker that i worked so hard on.

    Hi Hemi,

Thanks for the link and for posting the history. Makes the cache even more cool to know all of the history.

I sure hope more people take the time to do this one, as it is special. I am sure that some team, some where logged 10 park and logs in the time we spent on this one, but we got the better end of the stick.

Yes you did get the better end of the stick. If I could I’d trade 10 park and grabs for every nice hike cache.
