One of my TBs went missing from San Diego about one year ago (TBJHFT: Mystery, Inc.). It mysteriously appeared in downtown Madison, but NOT in a cache… I will refrain from any speculation about this.
Would anyone in the area be able to retrieve this for me? Madison is a long drive from Pleasant Prairie, and I’m afraid it will disappear again. Here’s the log from the finder I received:
Found this travel bug near the lake on the university campus in downtown Madison. It appeared to be by itself in a small Tupperware container hidden behind a rock with a green plaque that read Aurthur Davis Hasle at these coordinates: 43 04’38.27″ N 89 24’12.64″ W
I would appreciate any help I can get on this (you will receive eternal thanks from my kids, who were very disappointed that this bug disappointed with the second “finder”).
Yes – I’m nearby and will go get it. Are you saying that the finder left it there and contacted you?
This appears to be down by the UW Student Union near the sailboats.

Found it! Now it’s ready to continue it’s journey back to Kenosha. Somehow it made a leap from the University of San Diego all the way to the University of Wisconsin. Uff Da!
Wow two and a half hours after a post and it is rescued. Great job Cachew.
I’d rate it a d=0.25 and t=1…. But how did it come to be here? Instead of dropping off in a real cache?
Thanks so much for the help! I can’t imagine WHY this was dropped the way it was, but I am thankful its been found. And yes, the rescue time was outstandingly impressive. Thanks Cachew!
The TBug was set free yesterday – near Reedsburg, on the way to Wildcat Mountain.
So this is the bug I picked up! It is heading east…..
