Just a couple notes about caches in the Snakes! series of temporary caches I placed for the event.
First, sometime on Saturday three of the inflatable snakes for Snakes! #3: Trail of the Serpents were taken. There should have been 12 snakes total, but I only found 9 when I picked it up. I’m blaming it on the scouts in the nearby group camp who might have seen them while playing in the woods. I think the cache was still findable with the “gaps” in the trail, but it would have been more difficult than I intended. (Sorry you couldn’t find it Ruth and friends.)
Second, when cleaning up my gear this evening I was disappointed to discover that no one found (or maybe they were found but no one took) the two pink money eggs in the nest at Snakes! #1: Eggs. There was one $20 egg and one $10 egg. I guess everyone looked at the hint sheet which told you what color egg the stamper was in… shame on you. 😀 The $30 will be donated to the WGA treasury…
LOL…I’m guessing people will look harder next year.
That’s just too funny! If you are going to put incentives like that out there, I guess I’ll have to try to find more temps next time.
Edit: woo-hoo! 1000th post!
Had I known there may be cache (I mean CASH) involved I would have made the trip…..
Darn, I really wanted to go look for those snake ones after the meeting, but Trekkin’ had other plans. He will learn his lesson now!
I of course saw the money but thought they may have OJ’s finger prints on them and wanted nothing to do with that!
Thank you Jeremy for the donation. The funds were delivered via the “Bunny Express” tonight. (which is to say that Cache Boppin’ Bunny Fu Fu dropped them off at my house)
