K0rpl and I are planning a day trip around Door County Saturday November 10 or Sunday, November 11. We’ll start in Southern Door, Drive up the Lake Michigan side, and down the Bay of Green Bay side, doing assorted caches of assorted difficulties.
Planning to also plant a cache or two, and will likely grab a burger somewhere along the way.
We’ll probably focus on newer caches that we haven’t done before, not repeat visits, although we’ll make accommodations for those who wish to revisit old favorites.
Anybody interested in joining us, post here, or contact me directly.
10/29/2007 at 4:01 am #1880598Thinking Sunday works the best for me, as I am going to be attending the World Wide Flash Mob Event in Appleton on Saturday. So Sunday will work out best for me. Really looking forward to another run up the Door!

11/01/2007 at 11:00 am #1880600I’ll be up in the Pennisula this weekend for my wife and my annual Door County getaway. Wish there was a way to do the Rock Island ones. Don’t feel like hauling my canoe along.
Have fun.
11/02/2007 at 6:03 pm #1880601I was just up in Door CO on October 26th and had a blast despite the weather. You can read the story, and see some photos here

Here’s a list of caches I haven’t done that I wouldn’t mind getting to next Sunday. We probably don’t have time to get to them all, and you’ve probably already done some of these, so we can whittle it down a bit to a manageable number.
“Lucky Horseshoe”
Da Stump….
Death’s Door
First Shoreline Cache-Door County
Garrett Bay (Hedgehog Harbor)
Idle In Idlewild
Logan Creek 1-2-3 on the “Quiet Side”
Lyle-Harter-Matter on the “Quiet Side”
Mr. Sandman
Porcupine Bay
Rock Hole
School Daze
Sentinel Stash
Souls to Eternity

Sounds good. Where would be a good spot for all of us to meet, and and what time do you want to get started. Anytime works for me. I get up pretty early, and stay up pretty late.

11/06/2007 at 1:46 am #1880604So, to sum up, we’ve decided on Sunday.
I would suggest starting relatively early, since daylight is fleeting this time of year. How about meeting at the west side McDonald’s in Sturgeon Bay (the one by Target) about 8:30ish?
I would tell everyone to meet at my house, but I don’t think my better half is coming with me, and probably wouldn’t appreciate folks stopping by so early in the morning.
From there, we can consolidate vehicles and trek on.
Out of the caches I listed above, K0rpl, how many have you yourself done, and are there any others I DIDN’T list that you’d like to get to?
11/07/2007 at 2:39 am #1880605Let me know if you guys need waypoints for the multi’s. I have done all of the caches in Door County and keep a record of all those waypoints.

11/07/2007 at 3:31 am #1880606Im out wife has a spa appointment saturday so that means i have to get my arse in the woods after church on sunday to make sure everythings good to go for deer season Have fun..
11/07/2007 at 11:58 pm #1880607I just talked with ks9wi, and he & I would like to join the Door County fun this Sunday. I’m looking forward to hitting my 700th find this weekend. Justin, call me or Keith so we can arrange transportation to conserve some of that precious gasoline getting up to Sturgeon Bay.
11/08/2007 at 11:59 am #1880608So that makes four so far; a nice manageable number, but still room for a couple more, if there are any more takers. As far as I know, we can meet at the McDonald’s south of town, park any extra vehicles in the Target parking lot for the day, and take one vehicle up the peninsula.
Anybody with laptops, there’s free wi-fi at several areas of the peninsula, if we need ‘net access for clues and/or assistance.
Are there any caches you guys are itching to do that’s not on the above list? Door County Challenge is a great cache, but a little time-consuming.

11/08/2007 at 5:29 pm #1880609Hey guy’s. Team Bear Bear wants in!!! We have wanted to go caching in Door Co. for a while now and this looks like a great opportunity.
There would be three of us (Robin, Brent & me) so we would drive our vehicle and basically tag along. If there is another person they can ride with us.
We typically only get 8 or 9 caches on a weekend day and don’t want to slow you down but if things work out right we could take turns (bad backs, asthma, diabetes, bursitis, all take their toll).
Justin (& Keith?) has our phone numbers or contact us off list.
11/08/2007 at 6:41 pm #1880610Woo hoo! It’s officially a party. Welcome aboard Bear Bear!
