Visited 2 fairly new, excellent caches today on the bluffs of La Crosse, both with great views. They are close together, and are along the same trail so ya might as well get both at the same time.

They are GC17B81 TNT (That’s Not A Trail), and

    GC17D26 Sunset Proposal.

If ya want a good cardio workout, you can park in the Hixon Forest, below the bluff. If you are a middle aged fat guy (who you looking at?) you might want to drive around to the trail head on top of the bluff for a bit easier walk.

We’d agree with you on these two caches….and of course, we came up the hard way! This is one my favorite birding areas, I have spent an entire day birding those trails on more than one occasion, so it was nice to approach the trails with a different mindset.

Add to these two another brand new one in the area, hang glider hill. GC17MNC We got back a little while ago from doing this one after work, and the sunset from up there was incredible tonight. All three of these are to our minds, anyway, great examples of what great caching in the Coulee Region can be.

rats, we were there this past weekend, and they were on my list. but trying to go from milwaukee to lascrosse and back in just two days, and grab caches along the route, just didn’t leave time to do as many as i wanted. and it was cold and got dark way too early.
