Today, Team Bear Bear completed their 2 goals that they have set for the this year. After a month of weekend caching trips to log enough finds to pace themselves, they hit 1000 finds on “No Rookies” GCXXQR
Not only did they hit their millennium, but they have completed a year long, “Cache A Day” quest to hit 365 consecutive days in a row. Having spent a lot of time with them this past year I know how hard it has been on them to complete this personal and non competitive goal.
So here is a BIG congrats to a couple of great people, and great friends on a job well done.

Congratulations, Chris and Robin. A fantastic dual accomplishment!
01/01/2008 at 7:16 am #1882882I also want to Congratulate Two Great Cachers, and Even better Friends on a Fantastic Accomplishment.
You guys are to be Congratulated for these Milestones as well as all of the Help that you have given the Geocaching Community. You two have put on Several Events, Including the puzzle Event, Introduction to Geocaching Classes, and also putting on a Presentation for about 70 People during a Huge National Bike Ride/Rally, with no notice, or Prep Time.
You guys do a lot for the Geocaching Community, and that will never be forgotten. These things will be remembered long after This congratulatory Thread gets pushed down the List!
Once again, Congratulations to a Awesome team, and I Look forward to being able to enjoy your company in the future.

Congrats and happy trails!

01/07/2008 at 9:31 pm #188289101/07/2008 at 11:40 pm #1882892Two things to do when the cache police come knocking:
1. Politely remind that your stats belong to you, not them.
2. Refer them to me, and I’ll get them an ear full! Here’s is a nice tidbit I found on a profile page:
For the Geocaching “purists” and Geopolice:
My “found” count includes multiple attended logs on event pages for temporary caches at the event. If this offends your delicate sensibilities, feel free to deduct for those finds- or even ignore the event cache logs completely. Better yet, just skip looking at my stats altogether. They are my own stats, for my own enjoyment- not for you to look at and judge how I play the game or your opinion of my personal ethics. If you don’t like it, frankly I don’t care.
01/08/2008 at 12:14 am #1882893Congrats!!!
I’ve always wondered about what it would be like to try to continue a streak like that. I can only imagine how frustrating it must have been… probably a much easier feet for someone newer than someone who had already found many in the area they live and work in already! (which I would assume you fit into the latter much more difficult category).
There’s no way I will ever be able to do something like that and to you guys and all the other cachers who have maintained long caching streaks, I salute you!
All around a big congratulations.
