01/04/2008 at 10:14 pm #1883046Anything, that is part of the challenge. (Otherwise, it would be a 3/5).
01/05/2008 at 3:40 am #1883047Mike, you should know better than to ask foolish question on these forums ……. ๐
01/05/2008 at 1:21 pm #1883048yeah, well, one can always hope they get some specifics when asking…

01/05/2008 at 2:13 pm #1883050Ahhh… so this is a spiritual successor to the Gauntlet ๐ ? Jeremy should be on top of this one, he already has all the equipment from that test piece.
Sounds interesting, never been to Bong in our rare chances making it way down state. May have to do some plotting and scheming.
01/05/2008 at 5:56 pm #1883051My Question…
Is it more challenging in the winter or summer?
01/06/2008 at 2:05 am #1883052Since the bears are usually hibernating in the winter, the challenge is somewhat reduced. Note, however, that the nearby wolf pack is usually hungrier in the winter, so this may compensate a bit for the reduced challenge.

You forgot to mention the following:
1 Arctic rated sleeping bag
1 multi-tool
2 pair dry socks (we all know the importance of proper foot care when in the field)
6 AA Li batteries
2 gallons of distilled water
3 days MRE rations (I recommend the chicken a la king)
1 whistle
3 signal flares
1 tuning fork (F sharp)
1 protractor
1 roll double sided tape
1 tank oxygenI think that about covers the required gear…Of course, you could always just wing it.

01/07/2008 at 4:08 pm #1883055That’s a 2 inch, beveled edge paint brush.
You might want to add having 911 standing by.
