01/16/2008 at 12:52 pm #1883489I thought the Newsletter was well put together and a great idea. Thanks
01/16/2008 at 12:57 pm #1883490Nice work. I’m thrilled that this has finally come to pass. Didn’t we have a monthly article that used to be posted on the site…I think I recall this, but that was a few years back…but it was never really updated each month.
01/16/2008 at 1:15 pm #1883491Maybe it is just too early in the morning, but I can’t find said news letter. Where might one find the news letter??
01/16/2008 at 1:34 pm #1883492Check your email.
01/16/2008 at 2:49 pm #1883493The newsletter was an welcomed surprise. Great Idea.
01/16/2008 at 3:25 pm #1883494I think the newsletter is a great addition to the WGA, and can only promote more participation among members. Good job!
Is there a way to send the newsletter to Wisconsin cachers who are non-members of WGA?

If you are a Yahoo user, perhaps it ended up in your spam (bulk) folder?

01/17/2008 at 2:50 am #1883499Now that’s why we have the audio version…..
01/17/2008 at 3:14 pm #1883500I am glad that people liked the winter WGA email.
This idea was first proposed by Hayward Cheezehead last June in the Suggestion Box part of the forum. See http://wi-geocaching.com/modules.php?name=Forums&file=viewtopic&t=5887
Sorry it took us so long to work out the kinks, and if people have suggestions on how to make it better, or ideas of how frequent we should do this, that would be great. My thought right now is that we should send out another one a month to 6 weeks prior to the WGA campout.
For this first one, I wrote it, mostly from cut and paste of worthwhile items in the forums. (Sorry done of the Thread Stealers content made the cut.) Then the board as a whole edited it and approved it. Jeremy did the work of putting it out, and sending it. Thanks Cheezehead for the suggestion, and thanks Jeremy for doing all the technical stuff that us non-computer experts are not smart enough to do.

01/17/2008 at 3:39 pm #1883501Cudos to whomever decided to give this a go. I don’t always get logged on to the site, so it’s nice to get the highlights of what’s been going on. 🙂
01/17/2008 at 6:05 pm #1883502I’m a Yahoo user and it ended up my Spam folder. Thanks for the tip! And thanks for the newsletter! Looks great and a great idea to guide those of us who don’t log in as often back to the site to check out what’s going on at the WGA. Thanks again!
