We’ve been working with the chief ranger at one of the national parks nearby to create what we hope will be an awesome earthcache. Trekkin’ and I went down there today to hike the route cachers will have to follow and then went into the visitors center. When we got to the desk, the ranger on duty realized we were the people working on the cache, (do you suppose those GPSres around our necks might have been a tip-off?)had seen some of the email discussions and recognized my name…from the Wisconsin Birding email list! LOL I didn’t know he was working there, but we had a great conversation about geocaching as a hobby.

There are still some details to iron out, but hopefully the ranger will allow this earthcache to be published soon. We’re pretty excited about it.
