After reviewing Profiles of some Users here, I discovered that many are Avid Fishermen. 8) .. 8) Here are some photos and catches by these Bow and Arrow Fishermen.

A really big GAR … Should feed an Army!
With equipment and smaller Gar catch.
Have any of you tried this while wading in shallow waters or from a special Fishing Boat?

Wise to have some help if it’s a really big one… … 8)
..03/05/2008 at 1:01 pm #1885479I actually participated in a bit of bow fishing in my teenage years. Used to go after carp. There are not a lot of gar around these parts but there are a TON of carp. Same idea.
We had a blast doing it…
Thanks for the memories! 🙂

Thanks Cheeto … Bow Fishing and Bow Hunting have the same skills necessary to shoot well. Rather than start a new “Off Topic” to include Hunting and Archery skills .. let me introduce you to FRANK ADDINTON Jr.
Frank has been shooting a bow & arrow since the age of 4 and as a protege’ of the world famous Rev. Stacy Groscup has been doing Instinctive Archery Exhibitions since 1986.

..03/06/2008 at 12:02 am #1885481I used to bowfish quite a bit but not in the last 20+ years. The last time was when a cop in Glendale came up behind me with his sidearm drawn. When I called the WDNR, I was told that bowfishing was legal in the Milwaukee R. above the first dam, so away I went. What I didn’t do, was check with the municipality. Oops. The cop let me off with a verbal warning because I at least made an honest effort to check if it was legal. I wonder why I quit bowfishing? It was so much fun.
