Sponsored by the West Bend Chamber of Commerce, West Bend will be holding a large event on August 15, 16, and possibly 17th. This event will be having either a large cash prize of $1000.00 or possibly two $500 dollar prizes *which would you prefer? – asking for suggestions. Earth Angel and LDove are working with the Chamber to release 50, yep you read it right, 50 new PERMANENT caches the day of the event. We will have a treasure chest/key unlock prize drawing at the registration table and many other goodies for participants. It should be a great weekend with lots of fun things happening! Make your reservations now at Washington County’s local campgrounds or hotels for this weekend event. More info to come, we are working on the event page now.
Edited to add: Any other cachers interested in helping with the cache placement, being on the committee (meet once or twice a month for about an hour), contact LDove or Earth Angel from Ecorangers for more information.
03/07/2008 at 5:58 pm #1885788Great news!
Finally a great big event that doesn’t require a 6 hour drive to get to.
THANKS!!!!…and two $500 prizes or even 4 $250’s would be my choice.
03/07/2008 at 6:09 pm #1885789Great news!
Sounds like a great big event that DOES require a 6 hour drive to get to.
THANKS!!!!More smaller prizes would be preferable to one great big prize.
03/07/2008 at 6:29 pm #1885790Thanks for the input on the prizes = keep ’em coming. We want to have a big draw so any other suggestions on what would entice you and others to come would be fabulous! π
03/07/2008 at 7:51 pm #1885791This whole post isn’t another P.U. What a Stinker joke, is it?
03/07/2008 at 8:18 pm #1885792LOL π π We hope to make all these caches as “lameless” as possible. In addition to the 50 new ones, you can still visit all the great West Bend caches while here. Which I see by looking back Mr. Greenthumb you have not visited my PU, What a Stinker lame cache, how lame is that???? π

Either have I… but I logged that I did. That’s even “lamer” (is lamer a word?)
This event definitely has my interest… I might even get to find that lame stinker cache if I find myself in your neck of the state.

03/10/2008 at 1:54 am #1885799A big event within a half hour drive? I think I just wet myself. Looking forward to it. I hope I don’t end up with plans that will trump it.

$ and 50 caches is a HUGE draw already. Perhaps a promise that the prizes are not for FTF’s would go a long way as well as that seems to cause nothing but CHAOS.
03/21/2008 at 4:57 am #1885801Anybody want to help place caches or come up with cool cache ideas? π― Contact one of us.. Any help, suggestions appreciated! LDove or Ecorangers for your ideas for this BIG event!
