03/12/2008 at 3:11 am #1886105You can message me with the number. St. Croix Falls is about 30 minutes to my south. I can probably help out some but more importantly, I can contact the local cachers down there and get their assistance. Sounds like fun. I think I even know what parcel they are taking about.
03/12/2008 at 4:10 am #1886106PM sent — thanks for helping out!

03/12/2008 at 11:35 pm #1886107Others to contact would be BeadLake Crew and GPS Junkey. They are WGA members too.
03/13/2008 at 1:04 am #1886108I made contact today. There will be a organizational brainstorming meeting this coming Tuesday at the Buzz (next to the post office on Main Street) at 6pm. Anyone interested in attending is welcome to come. I’m going to try to attend.
He has already made contact with emtcop from Osceola. He has tried but has been unsuccessful contacting Beadelake Crew. I am not sure if gpsjunky will be able to help.
The piece of property involved is the large hill to the west of Lions Park on the north side of town. The event is tentatively scheduled for June 7th. After a plan is developed, he plans on approaching the Chamber of Commerce to obtain some prizes. Keep the date open!
03/19/2008 at 2:27 am #1886109Our meeting tonight went well. emtcop and myself represented the geocaching community. Besides the guy from the Park and Rec Board, a newly hired seasonal NPS ranger was also in attendance.
It looks like this event will be a go. More details will follow. The proposal will go in front of the entire Park and Recs Board tomorrow.

03/19/2008 at 9:44 pm #1886114Ya know, that Cheezehead seems like a really smart guy. Perhaps a case or two of Leines could procure a bit of his time and expertise……Otherwise, I will be forced to resort to the “Secret Weapon”…..which no self proclaimed cheesehead can resist!! π
03/19/2008 at 9:56 pm #1886115Wow! I just pulled up the map for the area, then checked the topo map. SWEEEEET! That is some kick-ass terrain! Yeah, baby – that is going to be absolutely stellar for caching in. Nothing boring about this locale. Oh, I am drooling over those hill climbs. Pity the snow is gone off that south facing slope – that would make it even more fun. Geez, I’m drooling now!

2 cases of beer would beer a year supply or better for me as I very little anymore cuz of the drugs I’m on.I’ll help out if I can but my near future plans are up all up the air as I may have to make reservations at the suite they named after me in Duluth at St. Mary’s. I had a TEE last weekend and discovered an issue that “needs to be taken care of sooner than later.” I hoping for next Feb. later but it could be like in 2 weeks sooner. I have an appointment with my Doc at the St. Paul Heart Center next week. We’ll see what he thinks and then a trip To Duluth to with my surgeon I’m sure. (He didn’t want to go in the last time.)
But again, if I’m able, I’ll do what I can.
03/20/2008 at 4:15 pm #1886117The sharp cheddar is always good for starters, but the swiss lace is my favourite. And surprise…they come with the requisite fondue pot! Finger lickin’ good!
Hope all goes well for you at the St. Paul Clinic. Great group of Cardiologists. They’ve kept my dad going for years. One of the top groups around. Keep us posted, and I’ll try and keep things a little more sedate for ya. I’ll also try to keep it under five letters or less when writing to not over-whelm you.
Thanks for your assistance, smart boy! π
