If you haven’t yet made the leap from crappy old dial-up, here’s a link to some promising looking new technology that may wipe away your doubts about broadband.

    http://www.google.com/tisp/

I understand there’s a discount if you sign up before April 1.

This looks promising. I signed up to be a part of the BETA version since there isn’t a cost. The kit is supposed to arrive within 5 business days. I will let everyone know how well it really works.

“a toilet connected to a local municipal sewage system. “

that’s another problem livin’ in the sticks….septic.
no cable, no municipal sewage system, no local satellite internet provider with a reasonable cost.

guess I’m stuck with this pitifully slow dial-up connection for now.

Nothin’ much else to do but go geocaching,

(You DO have electricity there, or has this newfangled daylight savings thing given the folks there an extra hour before they have to roll up the streets?)

Know where you’re coming from…except the porcelain is “connected”.

‘lectricity??? oh, yeah. we got some. got that generator thingy hooked up to the exercise bike to power up the ‘puter. Legs are gettin’ tired now so got a go, turn down the oil lamps and get some zzzzs.

Maybe I can get a job hookin’ up the nodes. then I can buy one of dem Honda generators. 😀
