Ry is a (mumblemumble) year old woman and Ny is a man, only slightly older than (mumblemumble).
A couple weeks ago, we were in Berlin with family and Ny’s brother had brought his handheld along to find a couple of winter friendly caches. Exactly 1 week later, we had a GPSMAP 60C and a Palm m125, both used from eBay and we’re ready to go.
Right now, we’re 2 for 5 after a couple of hours hitting areas very close to home.
Anyway, just wanted to drop a note and say hi!

TE03/22/2008 at 4:28 am #1886460Welcome to the cult. I hope you enjoy the fun.
03/22/2008 at 7:07 pm #1886461Greetings, and welcome to the addiction!
03/22/2008 at 8:49 pm #1886462You have got plenty of great caches within an hours drive. Not to mention throughout the rest of the state.
Welcome aboard.
03/24/2008 at 10:12 pm #1886463Thanks for the warm welcome all. We’ve only managed to get out a couple days to date, but have been having a ball. Right now, we’re wrestling with the Duplicate Bridge Tournament cache in Menominee Park in Oshkosh. Yes, it’s a puzzle multi, but the puzzles are fantastic. Having a ball so far!
03/25/2008 at 2:02 pm #1886464If you like puzzles the Oshkosh/Fox Cities is the place to be! Plenty of them around here.
Welcome to the fun – hope to meet you on the trails someday.
03/25/2008 at 4:05 pm #1886465Thanks, TBB. I do like puzzles, but am not so fond of the “go to this monument and subtract 732 from the date there” type of puzzles.
Looks like we almost met up already, down by the NicNac3 cache near Miller’s Bay in Oshkosh back on the 15th. Not sure how much earlier you got there, but I saw your sig on the log.
03/31/2008 at 3:59 pm #1886466Hello and welcome!
My family has been caching since May 2006 when I got a GPS for my birthday. Specifically asked for it to geocache and then made the family come with me!
We have been slowly working our way around the great Oshkosh area and started to place caches last summer. I’ve got some new ones in mind to go out in a week or so.
Maybe we’ll run into you sometime! I haven’t tried the Duplicate Bridge one yet, cuz a friend of mine told me it took him all summer. So, he’s scared me off.

03/31/2008 at 4:13 pm #1886467I hope that any of you who ‘like’ puzzles will come to be puzzle event in Appleton this Saturday.
Well, even if you do not like puzzles, come and find out why you should be looking at them……
03/31/2008 at 4:45 pm #1886468Duplicate Bridge Tournament – I was scared off from this one as well 🙂 It’s one of the only “Lonely” caches in a 40 mile radius around me that I did not try to find.

03/31/2008 at 5:19 pm #1886469I’m hoping to attend that one, Marc. I love puzzles, so this sounds right up my alley. Not so big on the “date of the plaque minus 1425 = ABCD” ones, but there are some other ones that just look neat (such as Duplicate Bridge Tournament). No clue if we’re even going to finish it. It may actually be easier to scribe a 525′ circle around all of the other ones in Menominee and just start looking for geosigns on what’s left. 😉
04/16/2008 at 3:21 pm #1886470Hello Ry and Ny, from a fellow “noob”. I live in Washington County, but I really enjoy your area of the state as well. My son and I are looking forward to caching while camping this summer. Who knows? Maybe we’ll bump into each other on the trail someday.
