Congratulations to three persistent cachers – Big Stick, Geo Cantrell and laxbobber – on TWO consecutive days of 100 caches each, in the Appleton area.
And a bigger congratulations to Big Stick on crossing the Milleninum Line!
Now, when are you all coming back for some puzzles?
04/14/2008 at 1:31 pm #1887818Congratulations, you guys! I think it takes a certain kind of stamina to do 100 of that type of cache in a day….we don’t have it! 🙄
And special congrats to Doug on crossing the 1000 line, too.
04/14/2008 at 1:47 pm #1887819I think it takes much more than I have to find 100 of ANY type of cache in one day!! I am amazed that teams churn out this many finds in a single day let alone back to back 100 find days! Congrats and I hope you enjoyed your tour of “our neck of the woods” (if you saw any woods…)
04/14/2008 at 6:09 pm #1887820Wow….That is amazing. I too offer a big “well done” to Big Stick, Geo Cantrell and laxbobber on being about to put together 2 consecutive days of 100 find days in the Appleton area. Simply amazing.

04/14/2008 at 8:11 pm #1887821Congrats you guys. I know how I felt after a 50 cache day. I couldn’t imagine doubling that on 2 consecutive days.
04/14/2008 at 11:29 pm #1887822Way to go. it was nice to run into you guys at Midnight during the Chippewa Valley Event.

04/15/2008 at 1:31 am #1887823Thanks everyone. GeoCantrell is living in Green Bay now so we decided we needed to do a caching trip there. The 200 finds was something we said we wanted to try but didn’t really think we would get. Especially with the great weather we ended up with. But after some long days we were able to pull it off. Getting to 1000 was a nice additional bonus to keep me going. I won’t be doing this again any time soon (well, never say never) and if I don’t see another camo film can in a tree or a bush I won’t shed a tear 😀

So, which do you prefer? The multitude of film cans in pine trees for which Appleton is famous? Or a breath mint container wedged into a crevice of a shelter for which La Crosse is becoming famous for?

04/15/2008 at 2:03 am #1887825Thanks everybody! It has been a while since I’ve been out caching and it was great to get out with BigStick and LaxBobber this past weekend to get the caching fever going again! I moved to Green Bay last August and now I’m moving down near Appleton next month so hopefully I’ll get the rest of the multi’s and puzzles over the next couple months (and years!).

Hah, is La Crosse famous or infamous for those hides? Not sure that I prefer either. I do have to say we were getting pretty good at finding the micros in the trees in short order though. Got tougher once it was dark. Fortunately we didn’t have to find any mint strip containers.
