    Hi gang,

Just got back tonight, and havent logged my finds yet. Spent the last 10 days visiting relatives/caching in the CO/WY border area. And I did get a few FTFs, 1 in SD, 3 in CO and 1 in NE. I havent counted up the number of finds, though I cached all day a couple of days and half days some of the days, so it was probably about 200 or so, though it could have been a lot more if I focused on park and logs, which I didnt want to.

    A couple of observations:

    1. Man, it is windy on the open range.

    2. Wind Cave in SD is awesome, and so is the Mammoth Site in Hot Springs. If you go to the Black Hills, those destinations are second only to Mt Rushmore as must-do’s.

    3. Fort Collins/Loveland is crammed tight with park and logs and I could easily have done a 100 caches/day if I could have held my nose long enough driving to every Walmart, Walgreens and Starbucks in the area. I did a few of those of course, but tried to focus on getting out and seeing the real places in CO.

    4. The military presence of the Strategic Air Command in SD/WY/CO is amazing. There are missile silos on every back road in WY.

    5. Jesse and I like cachin along the Puder River Valley in the mountains above Fort Collins.

    6. It is good to be back.

Yes, Colorado is a great place!

Urban clusters, with lots of micros.

Did you and Jessie find the ‘original cache’? It’s near the Poudre(poo der), around Fort Collins. I think it’s a virtual, for when the French originally came thru the area.

No, I did not….I wish I had known about it though, cuz I would have gone to it…I was less than a mile from there. I saw the listing when I was logging, and was bummed I missed it.
