I hooked up my new computer last night, and I’m having trouble loading files with Easy GPS.
I have Windows XP and a Magellan Meridian Color, attached via a Serial to USB connector. The driver appears to work just fine because easy GPS recognizes when it there and displays a message when downloading that reads “Connect via COM3Prolific USB-to-serial Comm Port”
But, when I try to download or upload I get the error message “No data was received from the GPS” whether trying to upload or download.
I’ve checked that my baud rates match at 115200, I’ve disabled NMEA, set the datum to WGS84 and used the Easy GPS troubleshooter.
Any suggestions???
HELP
I read some place that you have to plug in the usb to serial adapter to the computer and then plug the GPS into the adapter.
It has worked better for me that way the last few times I have uploaded to my ETrex.
Download updated drivers from the Prolific website?
