We’re dorks. Never having gone to one of these, I didn’t know all the ins and outs. Is there a place where Wisconsin cachers are camping on site? If so, where is it? Otherwise, I guess we’ll just plop down wherever we still can and maybe we’ll become honorary Alaskans or something!
Thanks for any guidance.

this is the website of the event, you will need to log into the site, there are campsites left yet, and you can reserve them yet, you can pick your site, on the map if you click the red dots those are reserved and you can see who you will be camping by, there are a couple of Green (open) sites left in the upper left of the map, it is near the road, (there is a fence there) but you would be near WI robin, and others from Wisconsin, unless you are a party person, stay away from Area 51 (lower left corner) that is the all night party area.
If you have any questions, there is a forum on the MWGB Site too, or shoot me a email, and I will try to help

Team Honeybunnies and zuma are also camping near the El Presiential suite of Greyhounder and LightningBugs Mum. Upper left corner, same area that we were at last year with The Bandits, Da Bloodhound and other assorted Wisconsin folks.

07/31/2008 at 4:13 am #1892850Thanks everyone, I just reserved a site way up in that corner, pretty darn close to the road. I got tired of clicking all those little red dots, but hopefully we’ll be close by. We’re looking forward to the craziness! drhaas is dumping us at the campground and heading somewhere comfy, LOL.
07/31/2008 at 4:18 am #1892851Our site is a little ways away from the Wisconsin “section”. We’re at N220. We couldn’t find a spot near there and besides we heard that zuma! snores… 😮 🙂 😛

You won’t even hear it over the traffic (not much anyway) 😆

What? Did you say you won’t hear the traffic over the Zuma’s snoring
07/31/2008 at 2:25 pm #1892854My wife (becky) and I (kevin) will be in site N480. Feel free to stop in and say Hello.

Better yet, stop by the Cheesehead Ghetto and introduce yourself. A goodly percentage of the Wisconsin people attending last year made it over to our campfire at one point or another. Just look for the unshaven, unwashed guys with their noses in their PDAs. Oh, wait. The whole place will be like that!

As long as I can enjoy a cold one at the campfire I am there.[/quote]
07/31/2008 at 4:25 pm #1892858Well, this year it won’t only be zumasnoring.
Someone on our team snores, and depending on which of us you ask, the other will point fingers, LOL. We’re really close to the highway, I’d have to look up the campsite number. Maybe we could get together a campsite list here so it can be printed off before we leave? I’d be glad to start that thread.
07/31/2008 at 5:01 pm #1892859To get it started:
T&B – NW160
Greyhounder, LightningBugs Mum – NW120
zuma!, WI Robin, Ninja Cats – NW400
NoHandsGPS – N480
TBC – N220That’s all I’ve been able to find.
