Whoever this is, he sure has been busy tonight requesting archives!
I looked up “lycoperdon.” It’s the scientific name of a giant puffball, the common name “wolf fart mushroom.” Seems like a well chosen name, LOL. Blowing a lot of hot air! 🙄

08/19/2008 at 4:56 am #1894645No comment! Well . . . . nooooooo, I better NOT! This is a family forum after all! 😛
08/19/2008 at 5:04 am #1894646WOW! This guy/gal has a lot of time. He/she should be posting on the “off topic” thread. 😆
08/19/2008 at 9:20 am #1894647This person also requested one of my caches be archived…some people are sad. I guess the person got tired of all the disabled caches in the area….they could have used their regular account however….some did need an “Needs Archive” log but lycoperdon didn’t pay much heed to the dates of the problem issues or circumstances…they just went hog wild creating logs and work for the reviewers….and now the account status is “Banned Member.”
08/19/2008 at 10:13 am #18946483 days ago i posted a log disabling one of my caches and telling people it will be disabled for just one week so feel free to log it if you searched for it. I would, after said week, archive it. either this lycoperdon person cant read, doesn’t care, just couldn’t wait, or I’m betten he just wants to cause problems.
08/19/2008 at 10:46 am #1894649Member since ’07? No cache activity–is that b/c he/she/it is a banned member now, or b/c this was probably set up as a phantom account?
Same thing in this area, archived notes posted on stuff w/o reading what has already been posted. Can cache owners just delete these logs?

I did…but they are always attached to the cache…just invisible to normal folks (reviewers still see them and are notified when they are posted).
08/19/2008 at 12:11 pm #1894651hey bandits, ya didn’t have to listen to that strange person ya know!!!
08/19/2008 at 1:32 pm #1894652Geez. I guess someone had something to say. They should really be bold enough to say it without hiding behind a sock puppet though. I think we’re all reasonable adults…
08/19/2008 at 1:49 pm #1894653Seth, That would assume this person is reasonable, too. Like imjedi said, in many cases they weren’t even reading the circumstances for the disabling. Parfrey’s Glen is CLOSED due to flood damage, that’s made clear in the logs and even the DNR manager for SNAs posted a log to that effect!
There are other similar things, even some that had been found recently. Sadly, even though lycoperdon has been banned, he could return as Pseudocolus schellenbergiae.
Scroll down…..
commonly called Stinky Squid.
08/19/2008 at 2:03 pm #1894654Heeheeeheee! Ya, DB got the royal treatment from this puppet, as well.
08/19/2008 at 2:09 pm #1894655The consequences to this nameless idiot’s postings is …… 😥
08/19/2008 at 2:15 pm #1894656Those of us who read these forums have a clue about this character, but lots of the ones he targeted don’t know. I’ve seen a couple get archived already.
One of sloughfoot’s I’d visited last spring was “hit,” and he simply said, “We won’t be taking orders from lycoperdon!”
08/19/2008 at 4:27 pm #1894657Clue???? There’s a clue. He hit 3 of mine as well. 1 of them I haven’t made it up the hill to replace. the other was already temp, achieved by the reviewer, but plan on replacing and the other the hiding spot was compromised and trying to figure out something else.
