this is from the note i posted today for GC1D2BT Wemblin fool
    DANGER WARNING
at the coordinates option number two from the first waypoint there is a huge nest of bee/hornet/wasp type creatures that we stirred up.
mark took 5 bad stings/bites and ended up standing in his underwear on the path beating them off of his clothing, where they had latched on. he also lost his glasses on the hill while he was running from them in the initial swarm. after he was dressed, he went back and was able to find them. but a man and his dogs came by and the dog peed on his shirt which was still lying along the trail.

    Doesn’t urine help with pain…..?

    Maybe that’s just jellyfish.

Not a fun cache day for you. Sorry to hear of your troubles. Thanks for posting the warning.

we did have a friend tell us that lemon juice on the stings would take the pain away.

Baking soda or baking powder???? Used one of them when I was a kid.

Mix baking soda, adolf’s meat tenderizer, and water to make a paste. Spread over the bee sting areas. The tenderizer is supposed to take the stinging pain away.

That kind of attack would have killed me, literally.

I’ve come across many caches in the past where there have been bee hives in the same tree there was a cache, or at least one in a close vicinity, and no one had mentioned it in their logs. I really wish more people would take the time to post a warning when they see these things. It could save a life. Then again, some people might be happy if the Riddler fell. 😉
