Dear Santa,
I have been a very good geocacher this year (well, except for scaring a bunch of cachers with snakes—I just couldn’t help myself—and besides, it was funny! 😈 ). I even placed 31 caches for other people to find.
All I want for Christmas this year is Sagasu’s Sinister Semantic Search. GC182D3
Yours truly,
ThePharmGirl 😀12/07/2008 at 2:32 am #1898699Nobody else has a Cache Wish List for Santa? I guess Santa can focus all his time on me. 😀 😀 😀
12/07/2008 at 2:40 am #1898700Got an alert from one of Santa’s helpers… Placed thirty-one and were good as well? Except for that snake thing. Well, I do have one serving as a guide at one of our own caches. Sounds like a fine report card. Checked your profile and see you are halfway dressed for the occasion – might need a warmer shirt though. You will find something to help you on your way in your mailbox. Hope you can have a Merry if Chilly Christmas!

12/07/2008 at 3:37 am #1898701Santa just slapped my hand… ouch! Back to the workshop to fill a bag of coal…
12/07/2008 at 4:09 am #1898702Labrat has suggested a SSSS reunion on January 1st. I’m almost afraid that he may have been serious… 😯
12/07/2008 at 4:12 am #1898703All I want for Christmas is to be able to see the cache page for SSSS.
12/07/2008 at 4:26 am #1898704ZB, that won’t cost you as much if you just become a premium member. lol.
I’ll try to play Santa again and see what I can get to you via e-mail, or if that doesn’t work perhaps mail you a hard copy. I just can’t resist having the audit log on this one – sixteen views today so far. Watching the watchers has been one of the most fun things about this cache. Merry Christmas. And all I want is a moratorium on sudokus for the new year.
12/07/2008 at 4:49 am #1898705A reunion? It HAS to be better on January 1 than it was on September 23, right? You might be able to *see* the entry and exit points now! And no evil swampgrass to wrap around our waders and try to pull us into the mire, cause…..the mire is frozen!
12/07/2008 at 5:16 am #1898706Santagasu, correct me if I am wrong but I don’t think the mire freezes or at least not very hard. 😆 there really is no GOOD time to go for this one, just a different set of variables.
Disclaimer : Always answering to a higher power.
12/07/2008 at 5:42 am #1898707Agreed. However frozen it gets around typical waterways, things seem to be different in the cattails and muck. I managed to go through the ice a dozen times when I placed the cache a couple days before Christmas last year. Rotten smelly marshmuck tends to create a lot of methane that makes ice unpredictable, and when you go through and get sucked under the ice, well, that can be tougher than not seeing where you are going…. The terrain out there is a mixed bag with each season having its own unique challenges. Merry Christmas to all… Let’s see some other letters to Santa.

Hey wait a minute… the “help” in my mailbox was something I had already figured out. Sneaky Santagasu. I guess he gave me the satisfaction of knowing I was right. 😆
So close, and yet, so frustrated… 😡
But this is what makes milestones memorable….right? 😀12/07/2008 at 3:27 pm #1898709Dear Santagasu,
I only want one thing for Christmas this year. My mind back. It has been preoccupied with solving a certain sinister, scary, sneaky and strenuous (SSSS) puzzle cache as of late. I can’t concentrate on anything without drifting off into a weird fantasy land land of keys and numbers and mathematical formulas. When I try to sleep I’m haunted by nightmares of getting INCORRECT in Geochecker over and over and over again.
I’ve been a good boy this year and must be on the nice list. I kept my room clean and ate most of my vegetables. I didn’t get into any fights and listened to my mom.
Your favorite little geocacher,
– Jeremy V.
Milwaukee, WI(P.S. I’ll have milk and cookies out for you on the kitchen table. You can leave the solution to the puzzle there. Tell the reindeer to be careful not to damage any shingles on my new roof.)
(P.P.S. If you have time, please also help my girlfriend out. ;))
12/07/2008 at 3:29 pm #1898710Dear Santa,
I’ve been a pretty good girl this year. There is the matter of that embarrassing 1/1 DNF a few weeks back, but other than that, I’ve looked hard on all our adventures, and even found one nasty one without ANY help from Trekkin’ (though a few others gave me nudges).
So, all I want for Christmas is someone to travel with me to Hawaii so I can cache and get that same kayaking EC Da Fu is getting. Add to that a jillion new life birds. Trekkin’ won’t take a plane! LOL I might even have a non-caching friend convinced, who knows?
Your friend, Birdin’
12/07/2008 at 5:13 pm #1898711Pharm Girl,
Being one of your snake victims, may I suggest coal 😆
Dean12/07/2008 at 6:05 pm #1898712Hmmm…
The coal gift department appears to be managed by another contributor to this thread.
Hawaii: That’s on my Wish List, big time, but my family does like to fly and I hope to get there with them – might not be till after retirement though. 😥 I have to believe there are some others who would love to make that trip sooner, either for the EC or the life birds. Eat my heart out.

The mail must travel slow. The help there was the first reply before a separate e-mail from ThePharmGirl detailed significant progress and applications of the key far into the solve. Confirmed that one of those applications should get the solve, but see only a couple attempts and no new correct solve on the geochecker stats page thus far this morning. Still trying to keep from taking the fun out of it with any more, but, after the time apparently spent, could be convinced to be even more specific.

Hopeful that a full cure is imminent. ThePharmGirl must be very close to getting that ticket out of the weird fantasy land and on the sinister trail to success!
