I got a taste of geocaching while on vacation last fall. A staff member at the resort we stayed at was a “geo-cacher” and held a search in the woods where we stayed. I’m looking forward to getting started.

Welcome to the WGA. What a great way to learn how to use a gps. Have questions? Don’t be afraid to ask anyone in here.

I never got a GPS for christmas. Maybe that will change this year 😀

Welcome to the group and good luck finding tupper ware in the woods!

      Which GPS are you getting?

I peeked 🙄 There will be a Nuvi under our tree this year. Our old C330 has been a great addition to our kit-bag, but the Nuvi promises so much more. 😀

Congrats and welcome to the sickness. I too received my first at christmas, took me a year or so before I actually started though. “Old Blue” garmin etrex legend.

Welcome. It’s always good to see more cachers. Hope to see you out there.

Sorry for the delay!!! I got a Delorme PN-20…I’ve just been able to play with it a little and explore all the pages/subpages on my device. I figured out how to cut and transfer a couple of TOPO 7 maps of my location to my GPS. I’d like to learn how to transfer info from Geocaching.com to the unit though. I believe it’s called “paperless caching”??? Also, I was a little disappointed that my Mac couldn’t read the DVD’s provided. I had to use an old PC we had to download stuff to it.
