WGA members have selected Spelunking at Question Point….Minus 13 (GC1DY7V) by Little”K” 99 and CacherClan as the 2008 Cache of the Year. It received more votes than the 11 other Cache of the Month winners in 2008 to receive this award. This cache requires people to become amateur spelunkers and explore a cave on Kenosha’s lakefront to score the find.
All of the Cache of the Month winners in 2008 appear to have a following of dedicated fans and be worthy of Cache of the Year recognition, as no one cache was clearly the favorite of our members and the 68 votes cast were split fairly evenly among the candidates. Here are the complete results, showing the number of votes and the percentage of all votes cast (in parenthesis) each cache received:
January – The Old Man | Takes Shelter 5 (7%)
February – WSQ – B-17 Navigator in the Granite Orchard 7 (10%)
March – The Da Vinci Cache 5 (7%)
April – WCQ – All American Treasure Trove 6 (9%)
May – What I’ve Learned From Roger 4 (6%)
June – Having Phoon In Camelot 6 (9%)
July – CSI > Espionage Investigation 2 (3%)
August – Spelunking at question point…minus 13 10 (15%)
September – Another Micro In the Woods 5 (7%)
October – Eyes! (night cache) 8 (12%)
November – Pirate Pete’s Plunder 5 (7%)
December – Gandy Dancer — The Bat Cave 5 (7%)
Congratulations! This one looks right up our alley….I know one of the first we’ll hit when we finally get down that way!
Congratulations Mike, Leigh, Mechacacher and LittleK on an awesome cache! Spelunking at Question Point was such a blast. It’s one of the only local caches we’ve been back to 4 or 5 times.
If you have kids, take them to this cache!!!
Again, congrats to the whole clan!
