I’ve noticed there are a number of public bookmarks which have not been included in the WGA bookmark listing. I have added some of them myself.

Are there other bookmarks out there that should be added?

You could post “The jAy List”. These are my favorite caches.

And, if I may, how about NEMESIS

      Marc,

Thanks for the post. Good point for all to share and for WGA members to utilize this compilation.

Just sent our one (and only) public bookmark to Jeremy for inclusion, ‘Snomocaching’ in the Nort Woods

Did you realize how many of the caches listed are archived? Generally, a bookmark should be for active caches. Caches others might want to hunt.

The only exception I know of so far is my Archived WSQ listing.

      Whilst we’re on this topic…sort of…

What is the purpose of making what seem to be personal lists public?

I understand the value of making “favorite caches” lists public, because you might be interested in what a cacher you know has enjoyed finding.

But I’ve seen caches on public lists like “My solved puzzles” lists.

Who cares besides you that you’ve solved these puzzles? Is this just an extension of the “I’ve solved the puzzle so now I feel compelled to post a note to the cache page so everyone knows how smart I am?”

      Am I missing something?

      Probably …….

B Squared solved list is just their way of keeping track of what is ready for the hunt.

That’s one of the ones I’ve seen, and I’m assuming it’s for “team” sharing…but I’ve seen others

There are many reasons why people bookmark cache listings whether they are active or archived.

      #1902681

Yes but I keep them private to myself for my own reasons

      #1902682

      me too 🙂

I made my bookmark list of solved puzzles public so that cache owners could see that I have solved the puzzle in hopes that it they may consider not archiving it prematurely (or at least I have a chance to hunt for the cache). IMO, too many puzzles come and go too quickly. As a puzzle owner I have no problem with people posting bookmarks that they have solved it or notes that they have solved it, at least then I know someone has been looking at it.

I also keep a public bookmark in the same fashion of puzzles that have me stumped, again so that the cache owner can see that I have been working on it. I also keep a bookmark list of all my unsolved puzzles in Green Bay & Appleton (and Grand Rapids, MI), but I do keep that one private since I haven’t actually looked at the puzzles yet.

      Pretty good reasons… 🙂

No I didn’t realize how many are gone now. Such a shame as all were great caches. However, being archived doesn’t change the fact that they were my fav’s. I can’t take them off the list just because they’re now archived.
