Now that Brett Favre has been freed by the Jets, who will he sign with? The Viqueens maybe?
04/29/2009 at 3:34 am #1906725Does it matter anymore?

I second that
04/29/2009 at 11:40 am #1906727It does matter. He has a family to feed and kids to put through school. Besides, the local sports media needs something to report on all summer.
Don’t you want to get sick about having to hear all about him again?

He’ll always be able to find a job in football, but I question any team that makes him a starter. Feeding his family will never be a problem with all the endorsements he has.
Don’t get me wrong. I fully respect and admire him as the greatest Green Bay Packer QB there ever was (maybe that’s a little over the top, but my opinion none the less).
My attention has always been for the Packers as a team. I like to see them succeed and worrying about where Brett goes this year doesn’t really fit into that. I wish him the best.
04/29/2009 at 2:05 pm #1906729I think he’s going to stay retired. Any team that needs a quarterback still will not be a playoff team. And he didn’t exactly tear it up in the second half last year.
04/29/2009 at 2:26 pm #1906730He’s done. But I’d love to see him as a commentator or QB coach.
04/29/2009 at 3:42 pm #1906731Brett can take Madden’s spot 😀

04/29/2009 at 8:27 pm #1906735I’d like to see him as a sideline commentator, or “common tator”! Put him on the side of the field where the losing team is, and let him ask “colorful” questions, like “How’s the bow hunting in New York City”, or “How much Ben-Gay do you put in a rookies jock”, you know, important things like that. He would be fantastic at the unpredictable comments, especially with all his years of bantering with the other players.
Football is competitive entertainment! Let him entertain us, as well as adding his years of experience to the game. For him to retire and ride his tractor for the next 50 years would be a waste.04/29/2009 at 9:04 pm #1906736Oh lordy I thought I was done with this one, but now that thanks to the Great One this has come up again…here you go!

04/30/2009 at 1:47 pm #1906738“Favre with Vikings? Don’t be surprised”
Ah good, here I thought the GB rag would have nothing to muse over for the next few months…
