Can we have a live draft. That is the only way to do it right. And… a few other things I would like to bring up but I can’t remember what they were. ๐Ÿ˜‰ ๐Ÿ˜‰ ๐Ÿ˜‰

Can we keep all the FF talk here so those of us who have no desire to read about it don’t have to weed through the posts ?????????????????????????

OK, It’s a tad early but camps will be opening soon.
What changes would you seen in the FFL this year?
Yahoo had added 2 new flex postions.
Here’s is kind of what I’m thinking.
    Starting payers.
    2 QB
    1 RB
    2 WR
    1 TE
    1 WR/TE (FLEX)
    1 RB/WR/TE (FLEX)
    2 K
    1 or 2 TEAM D/Special Teams
    3 Bench players(ANY Postion)

Here are the 2 new flex postions-
    Wide Receiver/Running Back/Tight End (W/R/T):
    Quarterback/Wide Receiver/Running Back/Tight End (Q/W/R/T):

Now I know what you are thinking..only 2 RB spots!?!?! YUP! Free up some RB’s since there always seems to be a shortage.

We can also do Individual Def. Postions too!
We can do Negetive points too.
I’m open too sugestion on scoring. Can also add more bonus point for yardage.
    So lets heat it

I don’t get all the starting positions. Why 2 QB’s? Why 2 K’s, Why 2 Def? 3 RB’s? First time I’ve seen this. You’re basically saying that you start everyone you have except the 3 bench players. With Bye weeks, you could have 3 or 4 players sitting while the guy your going up against might have his whole team. That’s a lot of work to try and pickup guys to cover your bye weeks and then dump them for other players to cover the next bye week. It’s also a lot of players to keep track of on Sundays (Both your and the opponents) unless you have the PC running with live updates or you have U-Verse.

I’m not sure we need the return yards. That makes it more difficult for the casual player that’s not into finding out which WR or RB’s have dual roles. And who gets the 6pt TD? The player? The Defense? Or both?

What ever you decide, I’ll roll with it. It’s the same for everyone.

I’m going with Johnny on this one. Let’s keep it to 1 K and 1 DEF

I’ve played in a league now that has pretty much this same set up but NO bench players. With 2 QB’s and 2 kickers, you’ll still have one if one goes down or on bye. Less hoarding of RB’s too. There is no way for me from preventing what happen with owners not starting a kicker or a TE and leaving the spot filled with an extra RB. I just threw the Return yards in there, They can come out. I took oout the WR/RB flex cuz most owners filled it with a 3 RB. So use, 3 RB’s. With byes, you havr to decide to keep a player or drop a player. Everyone is in the same boat.
By starting the the extra guys, you need less bench players.

Anyone interested in Def. Postion players? Their points do make it interesting.

If i drop it to 1 QB, K and Team D, bench players would still be 3.

    I’m open to suggestions.

I’m not interested in Def. Players.

If the Draft is happening this weekend, I’d finalize your decisions ASAP so that we can be prepared before the holiday weekend.

I don’t mind at all having 2 QBs, Ks and Ds. In fact I ended up doing that last year with my QB problems and to get around the bye weeks. I think if it’s set up like last year, everyone would be free to do what they want. If not, anyone not liking it, will just have to deal with it.

Fury – It’s always wise to keep 2 QB’s, K’s and Defense. The difference this year is that you start all 6 of them. If one of you QB’s is on a bye week, you’ll have to bench him and pick up a 3rd QB. This is a big difference from last year. Last year we had 9 starters (QB, RB, RB, WR, WR, Flex, TE, K, Def). This year Cheesy is looking at 13 starters and 3 bench (QB, QB, RB, RB, RB, WR, WR, Flex, TE, K, K, Def, Def).

Just think, if you have 4 guys on a bye week, you can only pick up 3 guys to fill their shoes. One of your bye players will have to start. Could you image when Mouthman’s team, which usually consists of 7-8 Packers goes on their bye week. He might as well chalk that one up as a loss.

This type of setup will be a first for me, but sure ought to be interesting. It’ll be interesting to see how things play out.
