As long as geocaching.com is down (for however long), let’s here what you did for excitement, other than caching!

Or what do you plan to do instead?

    Did you discover something new?

Or is there nothing else?! 😯

We really planned on spending today and tomorrow caching. So instead we blew up illegal fireworks in our backyard. If it’s still down tomorrow we are filling an old microwave with fireworks, attaching it to an outlet with a long extension cord and turning it on. I wonder what will happen?? 😆

Same here. Geocaching is all I had planned. So instead I watched about 20 Eps of Twilight Zone. I’d have gone for a bike ride but my knee started acting up on me yesterday so that was out….me food and the couch that was my day.

Well, since we’re not paperless, we have quite a few cache descriptions on our computer and some run off. If this continues, you can plan a caching trip to central Wisconsin, and we will sell you the cache pages and coordinates for a nominal fee. 😉

Didn’t plan on caching today or the weekend (plenty other stuff to do), but I sure miss checking out things on recently found logs and newly published caches, etc. It’s like winter–you can always work on puzzles if you have them available.

And there’s still the rest of the internet to get your daily dose of all things Michael Jackson.

I had hoped to get on gc.com tonight so I could do a few before the holiday festivities tomorrow. While I have been waiting, I have been cleaning out my e-mail, a task I usually do in bits and pieces, but have been doing it now for the past two hours. By staying online, I can keep checking back, but it seems I won’t be caching tomorrow. That’s ok, plenty of other things to stay busy with.

Went and visited Trekin and Birdin’ at the cabin with the folks. We told them the site was down but figured it was a small glitch that would be fixed… wait til they hear the rest of the story. We had no caching plans for a few days so this is good… T & B are not near a cell tower or internet either.

Cutie Pi and I went fishing up North near the cottage. We caught quite a few fish and plan on going back tomorrow. Oh yeah…. I also hid another cache.

mathman – another paddle across a mud puddle?
hemi – sorry to hear that

I took the long way to a friends cabin and picked up a county and delorme page I was missing. I have an extensive listing of caches statewide in gpx so I’m good to go for a while as long as they aren’t archived.

Duck505 and I went golfing, mowed Grandma’s lawn, checked on his cache that has only had one person find it so far, spent too much money buying fireworks, and just finished lighting some of them off.

You gotta love a day off of work.

I guess now you can add ‘getting questioned by the cops’ to our things to do. The teens across the street had been setting off fireworks all night and after we set off 4 bottle rockets the cops showed up at our door. Thank goodness we looked and acted ‘mature and responsible’, oh, and the cop didn’t know gc.com was down. 😯

I remember years ago when the power went off in NYC, that nine months later the birth rate exploded. I’m just thinking ahead, but maybe we should consider adding a birth announcements section in the WGA forums?

Didn’t miss it at all. Family went to the lake to visit relatives. Spent all day yesterday on the water.

Knew it was down when I left yesterday and still down last night but I didn’t do any caching the last few days to miss it.

Now it’s time for a cookout and fireworks!

But, T&B managed to find my new hide “Up North.” 😀 (probably with a little help from their friends/family)
