voluntary of course… If you don’t want it, don’t install it! you won’t see the ratings unless you have it installed.
i think it would be nice to go to a new area and see what others rate caches. it would help me pick and choose the caches i would attempt.

i’ve seen cachers that have a rating scale on their page, but this seems much easier.

i’m sure it will open up a huge debate, but it’s fun to stir the pot once in a while.

Interesting. I didn’t think that gc.com let people fiddle with their cache pages like that though.

Geocaching does need a rating system. Letterboxing has it and that is one of the site’s (very few) strengths. It needs to be part of the logging process.

you obviously haven’t seen Firefox’s Grease Monkey scripts for geocaching.com then…

Give a hacker 5 minutes and they’ll revamp your website right in front of you…

Greasemonkey scripts are the main reason I now use Firefox 100% of the time for my geocaching web browsing needs.

Boy I obviously have not! I gotta get with the new millennium…

I gave Firefox the ol’ college try but it didn’t have native support for Google desktop and that’s where I live from a work standpoint. (I am only semi-retired.) So I rolled back from IE 8.0 to IE 7.0 instead.

Too late, I’m happy back on the dark side with all the other Microsoft lemmings.
