I was looking for an easy way to create HTML which I could pass along to folks who are not HTML savvy and of course Google has this covered. To start you will need a Google account. The best part about this set of programs is that it is saved on the net not on your PC so you can access the information from any computer.
In a few short steps you too can create vivid HTML cache pages. Follow these simple steps and you are on your way.
First go to Google docs and select the word processor.

Next create the page you want.

Now see it in HTML:

Finally copy the HTML code and paste it onto the cache page (making sure you check the “HTML” box on the cache submission page.
Yes it is really this easy.

Yep it looks like very clean code…..not quite sure if there is an easy way to add images using the program….that part may still need to be edited in. I only discovered this application an hour or so ago.

I’ve used google docs quite a bit… In google docs just click the insert menu and select images, I think it should work to add images to the doc though I’m not sure if it will work the way you want with HTML, you would have to check.

Images insert nicely as a document but when you look at the HTML code of the page the HTML Image code changes so that it doesn’t show up right as a web page…if you find another way within the program I’d love to see it…other wise you’d still need to add the image code by hand.
There are actually lots of ways to add an image…one way is:
FOR CENTER of an image the following can be pasted in the HTML:

FOR ALIGN LEFT:

To find the image location right click on the image (then you may have to click on “properties”) and copy it’s location. In the above example substitute the “http………………jpg” part for your specific image’s address.

09/09/2009 at 1:53 pm #1913603THANKS!!! I just used it to create our event cache page. Ha! Now hubby isn’t the only one to create HTML pages.
