A while ago we picked up a geocoin that was drilled and had a meta “don’t keep me” tag on it, attached by a small metal cable and a metal crimp connector. In other words it wasn’t coming off without a cable cutter.
This was a professionally made/commercially available doodad but for the life of me I can’t remember who made it and I can’t seem to come up with it anywhere online.
Any ideas out there?
Close but not quite. The tag I saw had a twisted metal braid cable and not a chain.
Sounds to me like the cable was made by the cacher or bought at a hardware store. I haven’t seen any tags for sale with a good cable all ready attached to them.
That could be. I wonder if the “geocoin buddy” tags used to be round? It was a round tag, that I remember.
