Six years and five days ago, Nov. 9, 2003, Gram and I found our first geocache in a relatively new park in Waupaca. What a cool place – an abandoned and flooded granite quarry, nice walking trails, many interesting historical markers, very pretty. Today we found a cache in the same park, placed fairly recently, about 30′ from where I remember the first one. Only when logging did it occur to us how close we were to the exact anniversary date of our first find in the same place.

Any other deja vu all over again moments in caching?

There was a cache in oshkosh like that, I was FTF on it, it went away and then another one put nearby… I went in and found the old container still with my FTF on it.

Turns out the new container was about 20 feet behind me. Lots of deja vue.

That is such a strange coincidence that…it isn’t! Happy sorta anniversary!

When I saw the post I knew instantly that the cache you found back then was Hobo Cache GC96CD. I searched and bushwacked a lot to try to find that cache when I first started but since I have found the newer cache, I do not remember looking anywhere near where the new cache is when looking for Hobo, but I was very green back then and was going only by coords, and the cache was missing. Always nice to return to an area to find something new. Happy “Anni” Gram and Gramps
