I’m finally going to see the Packers!!!
I got tickets to the Packers Seahawks game on December 27th for my upcoming Birthday. I’ve been waiting for this day my whole life. I’ve been to Lambeau, but never for a game. So, to all of you who have been there for one, what are must do/ must see / must experience items you can share?
Anything to look out for? Great places to eat? Anything you can think of that would make this experience even better would be much appreciated!!!!!!!!!!!
We’ve been to the hall of fame and eaten at the pub. Other than that, this is all new to us.
11/20/2009 at 5:07 pm #1917112To stay warm, I suggest taking a bit of the Dr. McGillicuddy in as contraban, and mixing it with the hot chocalate they sell. π

11/20/2009 at 6:24 pm #1917113If you are cheering for the opposing team, while surrounded by Packer fans, bring lots of Corn Nuts to share. They’ll hate you a little bit less. Especially if your team happens to win! π π
Be in your seats before the game starts! The fly overs are COOL!! (The jets approach from the north end).
Not sure where you are going to park, but street side parking in Green Bay right near the stadium fill up about 3 hours before the game. (We live on one of those streets – we know!) Parking on lawns near the stadium runs from $5 to $25.00. And several streets around the stadium convert to one way streets after the game to get traffic out of the area faster.
Have a great time!!! Stay warm!!!

Any parking suggestions?
11/20/2009 at 9:44 pm #1917115I went in 2000, parked about 2 blocks away in the front lawn of a apartment building for 5 bucks, it was on the same side of oneida st as the stadium.
I suppose with inflation thats at least 15 bucks now. We actually got locked out for a few minutes as they were singing the national anthem, sucked we missed the fly overs because we were walking up the stairs.
It is an experience any football fan should do, its a blast for sure, but you’ll probably see more of the game sitting in front of your big screen :>

we don’t charge for use of our driveway we just require a minimum of 24 hour notice…..we live four blocks from Lambeau.
11/21/2009 at 1:23 pm #1917118We always park at K-mart and pay the $25 (Donation) since it’s near the section where we sit. Although we quit going a few years ago so the price may have gone up more.
TE11/21/2009 at 2:06 pm #1917119If you are bringing kids, I believe they have an area nearby (they used to have it only during training camp called the Packer Experience), but now I think it is a scaled down version featuring inflatables like an obstacle course, kicking area, Lambeau leap, try on players shoes, get eye-black, etc. Good for children ages 5 and up, I think. Anyone confirm if it is still operating?
11/22/2009 at 8:47 pm #1917120if it is cold like when we went take a piece of insulation board to put on the floor to put your feet on and also one to sit on don’t wast your money on the back rest that you can get there .you mite want to check on what you can take in with you we seen people having to through away water and pop bottles
11/22/2009 at 8:51 pm #1917121oh yea stay home and watch it on tv it is better
11/22/2009 at 9:05 pm #1917122No bottles or cans allowed in. They will search any bags, including camera bags, purses, etc. this all started since 9-11. If planning on eating during the game bring plenty of money, it ain’t cheap. There are booths set up to get you sign up for a credit card and get a free gift… worth it if you want the gift and need a cc.
We always bring our own seat with a back on it. The metal seats are very cold so bring something to sit on. Anything that drags on the ground like a blanket will most likely get wet, with spilled beer… so bring something very washable.
I assume you are bringing a camera. You can go down near the field for some great pregame pics. Bringing a sign to hold upis always fun, don’t go bigger than poster board size. Don’t block the view of those behind you… Okay starting to sound like “Mother” so I better quit.

Mrs. TEOur daughter (OPPS5) went to the game last week and she said carry i seats are no longer allowed. The trash were overflowing with all the ones that fans discarded that day.
Do bring the blanket, the aluminum seats are very cold. We put toe warmers on the bottoms of our feet before we pur our boots on.

TEHoly crap! When we used to park there, $10 rings a bell. That was about 13 years ago.
Hwy 41 was easy off and close to the stadium. When leaving, we headed west, past 41 and did the u-turn thing, otherwise we were waiting for 20 minutes trying to get on southbound. Not sure if things are different now days.
11/29/2009 at 4:30 am #1917125Dress Warm!!! If you dress in layers you should be fine….there are so many people crammed into the bleachers that the bodies actually stop some of the wind. Like others have said your feet are going to be the hardest to keep warm. Wool socks, boots, foot warmers and extra foot warmers π
Camera is a must!! We used to bring one set of binoculars, depending on where your seats are. Call ahead to make sure you can bring them in now due to rule changes.
Oh, and HAVE A BLAST!!!!!
