Anyone have some good lodging tips for the Waukesha area?
Looking at The Country Springs Hotel. Anyone with kids been there?
Country Springs has a great water park. Area people use it for kids birthday parties regularly. Also there is a cache within walking distance on the bike trail that passes just behind the hotel. There is also a pirate themed island cache close by on Pewaukee lake that is only .3 miles off shore with good ice right now.

…well it is OK if your kids are younger. I was just there with my 12 and 13 year old and they have no desire to return…I guess they were spoiled by the waterparks in the Dells.
I believe my 2 younger daughters will enjoy anywhere we go so I am not concerned about it really. They are happy with a small hotel pool but I’m sure they’d love another “waterpark” experience this winter. I’m sure my son will not appreciate this place but he can go caching with me instead 😉
Just expanded my registration to include my whole family. Can’t wait!
I noticed that the attendance count does not tabulate children in the overall attendance count. Just thought I would mention!
I was out that way the other day, and I finally figured out what they call the hotel.
This hotel is very close to the winter event, and it is brand-spankin’ new.
AS owner of the previous mentioned pirate cache on Pewaukee lake, I need to say it has simply dissappeared. I plan to replace it this weekend, but please check the listing.

Caches on that island vanish often.
