Hello everyone! My name is Sadie and I joined the WGA website a few years back but have not posted until now. I’ve been geocaching since 2006. I’m an art history major at UW Stevens Point set to graduate in 2011. I’m also trying to resurrect the UWSP Geocaching Club at the moment. I work part time at Starbucks and spend my spare time geocaching and working on my car– my two greatest and favorite hobbies. Glad to meet everyone! 😀

    welcome to the fold Sadie!
the UWSP Geocaching Club is a worthwhile endevor to resurrect. I didn’t realize it was struggling to stay afloat. Good Luck with that. Getting folks out to give it a try should be a great way to introduce the sport.
Just let ’em all know that a Wii is not the best exercise out there and some good ol’ fashioned walkin’ and hikin’, skiin’ and bikin’ are better. There’s more out there to discover!

Welcome and glad to have you aboard here. I enjoyed the UWSP event last year and all the great caches associated with it.

Welcome! Join in the conversation anytime. Lots of helpful people here. Maybe some area cachers can help with the club. And good luck with your other priorities too. Tough to balance life and caching sometimes.

Welcome, we also enjoyed the UWSP event last spring and caching in Point. Both Trekkin’ and I are alums. So’s his brother, whose wife also visits these forums, but I’ll let them introduce themselves.

Welcome Sadie!! Hope this community can assist in your efforts to get the Pointers back up and running. 😀 They’re a valuable bunch from what we’ve seen! We’ve cached there several times – had us going around in circles! – which led to a few attempts to contact the club, but no one was home. 😯 As you can see, there are some alumni & alumnae in the WGA who would likely be willing to assist …… add us to the list, and give us a shout! 😀

Greetings, I just joined up with the WGA tonight. I goggled the UWSP Geocache Club to see what was going on, and why so many UWSP caches were being transferred to individuals to look after. I was surprised to discover the club was not active.

I am not a current UWSP student. I had started taking classes a few years ago but unfortunately wasn’t able to continue with my studies. I do have plans to take up courses again some day.

I am posting to volunteer my services in whatever capacity I may be of assistance, to help reestablish and maintain interest in the club and the caches in its charge. I am a Stevens Point resident and an avid geocacher. If I may be of service in some manner, please feel free to contact me and I’ll be happy to see what I can do.

          Regards,

          Tom S.
