        There are a few nice designs posted in the “idea” thread. Take a look and post your comments.

        Even if you only have a concept, feel free to post it. I’m sure one of the more artistic members would be happy to turn your idea into a design.

          Please keep the ideas coming. There have been some very good entries so far, but we’d love to see many more. Get those pens, pencils and crayons moving!!! 😀

            Also, a reminder that in order for your entry to be included in the final voting you must email the design to geocoin2010 wi geocaching com.

            There have been some designs shared on the ideas thread, but I have not received any design entries yet.

            If you already submitted a design via email that I should have received please send me a Private Message via the website.

                REMINDER: Just 1 week left to submit your ideas for the Geocoin contest!!

                There are many ideas that have been floating around in the forums that have not been submitted via email so make sure you get your finalized designed emailed in.

                  NOTICE!! We are extending the submission period for the geocoin design contest 1 week. Designs are now due end of the day on April 16th.

                  If you have already submitted a design and want to do any more final touch-ups just send me your final before the deadline and I can get it updated.

                  If you are still thinking about a design or working on one you now have one more week!

                  Keep em’ coming in everyone.

                        Unless I’ve missed it somewhere else, I have not seen how the winning design (or when) will be chosen.

                        My opinion is that submission 2 from March 29th is an awesome design that illustrates all the counties in Wisconsin to geocache in with recreational activities on the back – and is a real collectable type design. I couldn’t imagine a more popular coin given the way some collect them.

                        Also, I think the coin would be even more appealing with a band at the bottom as in Submission 3 for the WGA logo keeping the front clean with only the counties on it… but again, if designs are final & a matter of selecting one – #2 would be my pick to buy a few of. 😀

                            The Referendum to vote for your favorite design is now available!

                            The voting period will be open until 11:59pm on May 4th.

                            These design concepts were submitted by WGA members and friends over the past 2 months.

                            ** When voting, keep in mind that most of these are concepts, not finished art. Vote for the concept you like best.

                            The 2010 Geocoin Committee will work with the chosen coin vendor to finalize the winning design concept for minting.

                                I think that there should be a separate sticky announcement for this. I never saw it until it was posted in the Thread Stealer’s. Coin Vote Now Open!
