So who will be holding a 10 year event?

Perhaps a string of them across the state by different cachers with staggered start times….like an event power trail.

i am 75% sure i will be holding one in madison, how could you pass up that unique 10yr icon.
i just have to iron out a few wrinkles 1st.

Did I misread the announcement? It sounded like there are no new icons that you can actually earn? You still get the same ole event/mega event icon?

    #1925258

Looks like you will get a green or a red L&F icon. Or a 10 in the geocaching square icon for an event that is not attended by a lackey.

Those who attend these events will earn the standard Mega icon.

there are a few additional guidelines that you will need to follow if you wish your event to qualify for a 10 Years! cache type icon.

Yeah they have conflicting information posted on their page.

Sounds like a fun time either way…

The 10 year cache type icon is just for the cache page. I don’t even think it will show up on GC maps as anything but a regular event.

I was thinking about hosting a 10 year event, but will be doing a CITO instead.

Or like a round robin. Everyone starts at one event , then moves to the next one. Seems I read you just need a minimum of 10 people.

but to get around the state you would have to have an hour event drive an hour have an hour event… so on just to make it around the state.
I like the idea have a different theme for each one.
I could see hosting one then.

Maybe 1 event for each of the 10 years?

Do the events have to be an hour apart? What if we managed to get 10 between here and Madison or Appleton?

Mc Donalds has a sausage biscuit for a 1.00 and an extra large thermos of coffee and we could have a breakfast kickoff at the lake front!

I was just throwing that out as a suggestion. I think it would be easier doing a milwaukee to madison trip. I was just going with the statewide tour.
