I’ll be the first to admit that I’m not much for world events, but being a Polock myself, I find it rather tragic. The President and his wife, the heads of the army, navy and national security, a few law makers and many, many others dead (97 in total) as the result of a plane crash. That is pretty much all major leaders of the country. I can only imagine how long it’s going to take for them to regroup after something like this.
Oh my, that’s a serious situation for the Polish government. And tragic for all the families involved. It’s surprising that so many would travel on the same flight.
I grew up in a very Polish neighborhood in the Twin Cities. Nordeast Minneapolis, where half the kids got another day off school a week after Christmas and Easter breaks. And even us non-Polish kids all knew a kitska and how to use it. And who made the best kapustas.
Thanks for sharing this news.
Very tragic indeed, read a blip on cnn about it today.
The conspiracy theorists will have a field day with this one unfortunately. Its the very thing novels are written about, in fact one of the books I’ve read recently talks about this very thing but not with the Polish leaders.
Oddly enough my former employer would not allow myself and my counterpart to fly on the same flight even if we were going to the same place at the same time. Same with the vp’s/p’s/department heads.
