I think I just found my new gps, and I wasnt even looking at getting one, all because of this. I hate having to delete all my points if I am going to go for a trip, or going somewhere unexpected and not having a query loaded for it. This should solve that.
“GPS devices are often compared against each other by how many points you can store in your tracklogs or how many waypoints you can store on the device. Hard-core geocachers for example love to store thousands upon thousands of geocache locations on their device. Hard limits are all but gone on the new PN-60. You can store as many waypoints and tracks as you can fit into either the internal memory or on SD card. When only limited by memory, you will soon be measuring the limit (if you want to call it that) in millions.”
it comes with 3.5 GB of memory! and the SPOT feature seams cool.

based on what i have seen i would have to say yes, and for 30$ a year you can get the map library which looks amazing.
I can see myself using the aerial photos out caching, but i have a car gps for driving so i dont use the road ones all that often. Mostly the topo is what i use now, and I found the gpsfiledepot free topo was better than garmins on my current gps.
05/09/2010 at 3:39 am #1928487The maps that come with the Delormes is road routable 100K Topo. They are very good and updated more than the Garmins. I have used both and keep going back to the Delorme. The $30 all you can load is a great deal and you can use it on as many units as you want. The road routing is good but not as good as the Garmins, but it comes with the unit and you do not have to pay extra for the maps like Garmin. I have also for that the PN-40 is more stable than the Dakota 20 and the Oregons. I have been saving for the PN-60 since it was put on Amazon as a pre order.
