We are looking for individuals (maximum of 10) to hide night caches for the Campout event this weekend.

The Night Caching will happen Friday Evening (5/14).

If you’re located in the Racine/Kenosha area and/or are going to the camp-out and can hide a “night cache” prior to dusk on Friday please contact me via Private Message so that we can arrange the Night Cache hiding.

Oh… Did I mention it’s a contest and there may be prizes??

For clarification, a night cache does not necessarily need to be an elaborate trail of reflective tacks.

It can be any sort of cache that you think others would like to find at night. Perhaps something spooky, or some neat light-up or glow in the dark doodad you might have lying around that would make for a neat thing for folks to find in the dark.

I hunted a permanent night cache that ended with the cache being camoed by a rather interesting rubber mask.

We have some designated areas earmarked for placing the night caches so even if you are not familiar with the area we can point you in the right direction.

The night caching activity is usually one of the highlights of the WGA campout but we need your help to make it a hit!

If you are on the fence for placing a night cache, Renee and I went out Saturday and “preset” location for the first 8 night caches in a family friendly area. When you check in Friday night, we will give you the coordinates and you can go place your cache at that location.

We still have spots open for night caches for the campout.

Please feel free to email me at cheeto wi geocaching com or send me a PM if you would like to hide a night cache for the event.

    See you all there!
