We just got an iPod Touch and would like to use it for paperless caching. We’ve previously used Cachemate with a Palm and more recently the iPodnotes macro with GSAK and our iPod Classic. Is there an app that can send cache info from GSAK to the Touch?
I use GeoSphere on the iTouch and love it. Includes attributes also. I export a GPX file from GSAK and then import it into GeoSphere. For $8 bucks it’s a good option and the developer seems to stay current with changes happening on GC.com
That sounds like just what we had in mind. Thanks for the reply!
I too use Geosphere and like it alot! Easy to use. You can download the PQs right from an internet e-mail account. Just need to find Wi-Fi to do that and you can find that about anywhere now days. I got the iPod Touch for the purpose of paperless caching but have found lots of great apps to put on it.
And with the Geosphere, you do not need to be connected to the internet to make it work in the field. It has all the info loaded which makes it nice as you don’t have to worry about losing and signal and not having your info in hand. And several upgrades to the software have only made it better every time! Well worth the $8!
