    Sun Runner

I guess this is the second year of the event. It’s kind of like a city festival. There will be local artists, a boat show, a car show, bouncy houses/slides for the kiddies and even a carnival. There will be live music all day too. I’ll be there helping out at the animal shelter booth. Should be a good time if you don’t have anything else going on.

If you’re downtown, don’t forget to stop at the Menasha Grill for a bite to eat. You won’t regret it 😉

Do they still hold the Otto Grunski Festival?

Shameless Plug – Isn’t there a whole series of “Laughing Waters” caches in Menasha?

This used to be a huge deal when I was growing up. There was a bike race, running race (the grunski runski), food, carnies, the whole 9.

Then I think they split off the run from the festival and it went downhill from there.

Some googling tells me there was still a Otto Grunski “riverfest” last year (38th annual it says) at Jefferson Park at the end of July. The Otto Grunski Runski for this year is scheduled for Mid-August.

Couldn’t find anything about a Grunski Riverfest this year in my quick google search.
