I’ve prepared an image and HTML code and placed it on all my ammo can caches, no warn against the danges of spray cans.
Here’s an example .. scroll down to just above the hints: GCQEF8
You are all welcome to make use of my HTML code on your cache pages, if you wish:
CAUTION:
Do NOT put spray cans (like bug spray) in tightly sealed containers (like ammo
boxes) -
Read Why.09/08/2010 at 6:35 pm #1935672ehem…that looks like a condom….I mean good idea.
😳Kidding aside you might want to find a clearer image.

…sorry, I’ll go back to my self-imposed exile now.
09/08/2010 at 6:51 pm #1935673Soz ES, I have to agree with LB7. Checked your cache page before I read his response, and it was the first thing I thought of too, and I was clicking back to post almost the same thing. The can image is almost identical to the pics inside a condom package. I mean, I’ve been told that. 😀 It’s a great idea though!!!
Maybe find a smaller condom, er, uhm, shorter can I mean. 😀
Just kidding with you. Please don’t take it personally!!! 😀 😀 😀 😀 😀 😀 😀 😀 😀

On the Left Side of the Road...09/08/2010 at 7:44 pm #1935675ohhhh great … that means I’ll need to redo the code for each cache I put this on … because a new picture will get a new image page assigned to it on the GC website.
I can sort of see what your saying, but not totally … I mean my mind doesn’t go there. For what it’s worth that was from an existing “no aeresol” symbol on a t-shirt … so I’m guess most of you won’t be buying that t-shirt.
Hang tight … revision coming in the near future.
09/08/2010 at 7:52 pm #1935676Reading the cache page, the icon and the RED CAUTIONARY MESSAGE leave no doubt about the intent, IMHO.
Great idea! Increases awareness and starts/keeps people thinking about safety while on the geo-trail.
09/08/2010 at 7:56 pm #1935677Ok … Revised example: GC13FWY
Revised code to use:
CAUTION:
Do NOT put spray cans (like bug spray) in tightly sealed containers (like ammo
boxes) -

Following the signals from space.
09/09/2010 at 2:24 pm #1935682Looks awesome! Thanks for putting forth the effort. I can’t tell ya how many times I’ve found cans of silly string in my caches and others.
09/09/2010 at 7:08 pm #1935683I’m actually thinking of using both … I’d rather not have exploding condums in my caches either.
