For those who get going for challenge caches… Looks like there’s something new for those cachers who have been bored and looking for a new reason to run all over the state.

Seeing I’m still trying to get the first one done, I don’t think I’ll be getting the FTF.

start doing the lcg, you’ll cover a lot of ground quick with 2 excuses to take 500 mile road trips :>

    I like rule #5:

If you have found every eligable cache on any page previous to 8/19/2010, then you will be given credit for that page.

Emphasis on the word every 😉

I don’t know a lot about how many caches are on each Delorme page. Are there pages where a cacher would be able to take advantage of rule #5 easily? Or is it sort of a tongue-in-cheek kind of rule?

I would assume pages by me would have several hundred caches and many are puzzles so this rule would probably not be advantageous for those types of pages.

Speaking of puzzles, I always wondered about puzzles where the bogus coords were on 1 page of the delorme and the final on another. Which is counted?

FYI – I also think that the page says “after August 19th” and it was published on September 19th.

I can’t even get a return on my validation email to load my PQ and see the one or two pages we’ve completed on this one! LOL

We’re finishing up Minnesota first before doing this one all over again. Between Minnesota, the waterfall thing and the rustic road thing, we have
plenty to keep us entertained for quite some time!

Actually, the change makes a lot of sense, in light of the fact the old atlas is getting pretty tough to come by. And since there are a number of us who probably could have met this one from the starting gate, the date qualifier makes it more fair, too. Thanks for all the hard work done to keep this one fresh and new for the state, Brian.

To answer cheeto’s question, p. 57 and now once again, p.104…at least in the old atlas….had only one available cache.

Posted coords. I’ll add that to the rules.

Brian, Tried it but it doesn’t like me. Technology’s way of telling us to finish the ones we have started, LOL.

I belive there are 3 cache for page 104?

Both 57 and 104 in the old book now have more than 1 option now.
58A in the old book is a little light if I remember.

Not sure on the new book how it matches up because I don’t have one. (Have 2 of the old book though.)

Oh, I know what the problem is. It’s the apostrophe in your name. I get that fixed right away. Or… you can change your name.

I guess I’ll have to go out an d buy a DeLorme guide, so that I know how many pages are in it 😕

All opinions, comments, and useless drivel I post are mine alone and do not reflect the opinions of the WGA BOD.

Works for me, I just started so I’ve still got plenty to do on my original challenge. Now it’s just double-duty. 🙂 Thanks for another challenge, now to convince the wife that the family needs to go vagabond across WI! 😆

With good planning, 6 road trips can cover the state, maybe less if you can go without sleep.
