How many of you out there have found Pathtags in caches? If so, how many? I’m thinking that this is an item that doesnt stay in a cache too long and will be hard to just come across by luck. I plan on leaving our Tags in as many caches as possible. But I have a feeling the best way I’m going to get my hands on fellow Wisconsinites Pathtags is by trading on here or at events.
10/09/2010 at 7:33 pm #1937133i have only found 1, in one year of caching and 370 finds, in a a cache.

Yikes, now thats NOT encouraging. lol
10/10/2010 at 1:25 am #1937135We have found over a dozen in caches. We have also traded about half that many.
TE10/10/2010 at 1:26 am #1937136I’ve found about 5 or 6 in caches. They are very hard to come by in the wild.
I’m thinking the best way to up the collection is to trade, but there’s just something extra special about finding one in a cache.10/10/2010 at 1:29 am #1937137Pathtags are relatively new here in Wisconsin, we have found many in caches in the UP and Lower Michigan, and Indiana and Ohio area. We have a special one that we only leave in caches that we think are either a great cache or a great area.
If we find one, and take it we will leave one in its place.

10/10/2010 at 3:11 pm #1937138I generally have been leaving them in caches I find (35mm film canister and up) for some time as a “calling card”. Most of mine have bounced from cache to cache with a few taken home. Since they are a signature item, they are usually kept when found (generally by those that know what they are). Those that traverse caches are the rare finds.
10/11/2010 at 2:02 am #1937139I have a FTF pathtag In my A Hiking we will go GC27YY9
And a Wizard Tag Pathtag in Aim Carefully GC2823A
GO LOOK FOR THEM. YOU KNOW YOU WANNA BE THE FTF AND THE STF
10/11/2010 at 2:58 pm #1937140We have found four or five in caches and the rest we got by trading. Finding some was how we got started with them. We only leave them in certain caches as well as some of our new caches when we start them or make a visit to them. It seems like there are more around lately. We have had bad luck with trackables of ours disappearing so at least this is less expensive.
The Searchers10/11/2010 at 4:20 pm #1937141The first one I found was a TE tag… didn’t know what it was so I let it go… and have found 1 other in cache, otherwise all via purchase or trading.

Did, and do, but didn’t. 🙁
On the Left Side of the Road...10/12/2010 at 3:39 am #1937143I have only found one pathtag in a cache in 11 months and 900 caches found.
All opinions, comments, and useless drivel I post are mine alone and do not reflect the opinions of the WGA BOD.
10/12/2010 at 12:19 pm #1937144I’ve only found 1 in a cache after 1200+ finds. I picked it up and moved it to another cache since I don’t collect them.
10/19/2010 at 5:38 am #1937145I found 3 in the last 3 days 1 on the way up to door county and 2 yesterday.
I still cant believe it “thats gotta be some kind of record right?”10/19/2010 at 6:00 am #1937146Wow, thats amazing. Who’s were they? Are they Wisconsin cachers tags? I’m hoping to stumble onto some in the field. I think once Wisconsin cachers get into Pathtags more, you will see more finds and see them more regularly too.
Nice find though. 3 in 3 days! I’m jealous.
