How does one get the “Souvenirs”

Interesting idea. I see they gave one for the West Bend Cache Ba$h. But how do you know where a souvenir zone is?
You don’t. I think the idea is to encourage you to use your Geocaching App on your phone whenever you search. Given how fast GPS drains a cell phone battery, I’m not likely to be so encouraged.
I use my phone all the time when I’m caching, since my GPSr doesn’t have paperless capability. I just plug it in when I’m in the truck.

Lowering their price and improving their mediocre app would encourage more people to use it then these silly souveniors ever will.
So pretty much if you couldn’t care less for smart phones or don’t want to drop significant amounts of money every month for web access on a phone, the only way you will find a souvenir is by pure chance. Guess that makes it even less appealing to me.
i like use my iphone. the gps is not the greatest but i like the paperless and being able to log the cache along with trackables with pictures right in the field
We got a souvenir when we submitted our first “Found It” log for a 10-10-10 cache that we found. That came automatically, no special phone or app or anything.
