Guess the ice isn’t quite safe in the marsh, Dave! Glad stubbs13 wasn’t being carried on this one (GCGNRY)!
Congratulations on 2000 finds!! 😀

12/02/2010 at 3:48 am #1939258Congratulations, that was a chilly milestone indeed. Snowshoes in January work great on that one! 😉
12/02/2010 at 4:18 am #1939259Great log and find. I shivered just reading it.

12/02/2010 at 4:30 am #1939260Congratulations to jstajlr and stubbs13 on finding #2000.
Way to go Dave! 🙂12/02/2010 at 4:33 am #1939261Congrats on #2000, and for doing it on that challenging cache! Really glad you made it back out! Sounds like you actually found the legendary stream!
12/02/2010 at 2:05 pm #1939262Congarats on the memorable milestone, Dave! Great choice. I’ve been looking at that one for two years and just haven’t had the right timing. Your log was great. Helps me look at that one with renewed interest and awareness! 😉 Congrats again!
12/02/2010 at 2:54 pm #1939263WHolly man! I can sympathize with you on wet/cold feet in a marsh and walking a mile out in them…. not fun!
Congrats on the 2k run!
12/02/2010 at 3:01 pm #1939264Favorite part of the log: “I’d smile but I think my lips are frozen.”
Glad you were able to warm up enough to enjoy the milestone, Dave! Congrats on find #2000!
12/02/2010 at 5:00 pm #1939265Congratulations on the milestone Dave. After reading the log the first thought that popped in to my head – “That sounds like something Ed would do”
It gives new meaning the the term “Polar Plunge”
Trying to match the color of your lips here, am I close?Sherry Beno
12/02/2010 at 7:14 pm #1939266CJ wouldn’t do this one on half frozen terrain for fear of getting cold feet. He’d prefer to do it when the foliage is at it’s peak, the mosquitoes are fierce, the humidity is so thick you can cut it with a knife and the sun is at it’s peak. 😆
Dude – You are as crazy as I am, but you’re corrupting your daughter also. 😯
Congratulations on what sounds like it was one hell of an adventure. Definately worthy of a 2K milestone.
12/03/2010 at 12:13 am #1939267Thanks everyone it was quite the adventure. I haven’t corrupted Stubbs yet she was in school. If she was along I would have waited until the ice was 2 ft thick before risking her out there. I think it was about this time last year when I did Wet Maze and that wasn’t quite frozen yet either. I guess the drive to find a lonely cache first makes me do stupid things.
12/03/2010 at 6:42 am #1939268Your post made me chuckle and also register a mental note: Wait another month or so to try this one.
Congrats on 2k and glad you made it one with a story! Can’t believe you went after it while Stubbs was in school….

12/03/2010 at 12:52 pm #1939269Congrats on the milestone. Reading your log made me decide NOT to try this cache for a few more weeks 😆

12/03/2010 at 2:21 pm #1939270Congratulations on the 2K milestone, but…OMG…that was just plain nasty…caching is supposed to be fun ❗
