I have a request for the WGA to be involved in Scout Day at sumerfest. Still looking into it, but it sounds like placing some temp caches on the grounds, and free admission to Summerfest for Scouts on June 27th. See link for more info.

The board will discuss this at our board meeting Sunday. It would be helpful to know if there are local people near summerfest who would be interested in helping coordinate this.
thanks

May want to double check the date. The link you included was for the 2010 summerfest schedule.
The date is actually July 9.
I would be interested in helping out. i dont know about the whole day but i could do part of it if not half of it.
I will help out. I have all the info for boy scouts to earn the geo caching merit badge, it could help. there is also a web site http://www.geoscouting.com where you could get some info. I can also see about getting Pack 53 from McFarland involved.
FYI I am a certified Merit badge instructor for the Geocaching Merit badge.
Is there a site that lists the date and more info? Mentioned this to our troop leaders tonight and there was some interest in hearing more.
I believe they are waiting for us to give them the go ahead that we can support it. As you might guess, we are going to need more than 3 people. Most of the scouts will not have a GPS, so we probably will need something on the order of 15-20 volunteers to have any hope of pulling this off.
My wife Karen and I can help as of right now, will be able to give a more concrete answer closer to the date.
I live about 15 minutes away from the Fest grounds. I would be happy to help out on the project.
